How INDICRO was Born

How INDICRO was Born

The concept of INDICRO first started in 2007 when Trish Parry, Founder of INDICRO had been a Clinical Research Consultant for 3 years.  Most of her clients were introduced by word of mouth, previous clients and through the clinical research network of which she was a member.  Therefore, while Trish was not affected directly the clinical freelance group she was part of were aware that the lack of structure in relation to project assignments was having an effect on the quality of the Freelancers coming into the system. This included an MHRA infringement notice of a Clinical Research Associate in 2016. Great Freelancers/Consultants were still out there, but it was hard to find them.  The idea of a platform to directly connect Freelancers/Consultants with high working standards and clients grew from there, but the timing wasn’t right.

Over the years, Trish has observed first-hand how difficult it is to connect with the perfect project or other colleagues.  She has worked with many small/start up Pharma, Medica Device and Biotechnology  companies who have brilliant products but lack the expert strategic knowledge and operational resources to develop their products successfully and cost effectively to the market. During the COVID pandemic, Trish was fortunate enough to work as a clinical subject matter expert in the Vaccines TaskForce (VTF), set up by the UK Government to deliver safe and effective COVID vaccines to the UK population as rapidly as possible. VTF consisted of teams of experts working at the top of their game, in clear workstreams with a clear vision in mind. The power of these teams was phenomenal. It was clear that the smaller vaccine companies needed more support than the established larger Pharma and Biotech companies and by providing this help through experts, they were able to bring great vaccines to the market in record time.

When Trish’s time at VTF came to an end, the stars aligned and it was the right time to set up INDICRO.  Inspired by the work of VTF, with the help of a great business coach, Cristina Tiberian, and then the business network Trish now calls her business tribe, BoB Clubs, Trish received the expert support she needed to build INDICRO.  The BoB Club Aylesbury Leader, Tina Duggan expertly introduced Trish to all the support she needed to launch INDICRO including to Steve Gayler, from OI-Digital, who developed the INDICRO website. Sian Smith, from BAS Associates, is an inspirational Business Planner who pulled Trish’s vision together, developed a business plan, finalised INDICRO’s branding and then coached Trish to keep to target.  BAS Associates are now INDICRO’s Accountants too.  Kate Holt also provided great and much needed support as Trish’s Bookkeeper.

INDICRO was set up in record speed between the go decision in March 2023 to the launch on 14th September 2023.  So Trish now knows first-hand the power of a great network for a business.
